On 16 July 2015, at the Directorate-General of the State Forests headquarters, a contract was signed between the Directorate-General of the State Forests and the Bureau for Forest Management and Geodesy on the maintenance and development of BDL (Forest Data Bank). The contract will be effective until 31 March 2019.
According to the provisions of the contract, the maintenance of BDL (Forest Data Bank) requires from the provider a systematic update of databases on forests and the state of natural environment. Additionally, the BDL scope of duties is to make annual statistics and reports, to maintain the technical infrastructure and to provide public information on behalf of the State Forests.
The planned development activities include: additional databases on game animals and hunting, forest habitats and plant communities, forest fires, forest entry restrictions as well as touristic management. The development also includes new mobile applications of BDL portal and an automatic system for sharing public information on forests on behalf of SF NFH.
